• Marketing Platform Redesign. Delivered a technical redesign that simplified onboarding for the internal marketing platform behind direct-to-consumer marketing, which serves 100+ internal tenants.
• Dealer Marketing Capability. Established the platform's shared marketing capability for auto dealers.
• Digital Marketing Pilots. Independently delivered a high-priority digital marketing pilot using spec-driven development; its success led to a dedicated cross-functional team. Also led implementation of a second pilot now serving dealerships nationally.
• Architecture and SRE Leadership. Automated failover and regional-isolation testing so services ride through AWS outages without manual intervention.

• Patented Vehicle Data Pipeline. Designed and patented an event-driven pipeline that consolidated 4M+ vehicle records each day. It replaced a 15-year-old system and supplied data for analytics and ML features.
• Dealer Data Consolidation. Rewrote and retired 4 of the 7 systems that consolidate dealer vehicle data: 200+ inventory feeds from 17,000+ dealerships. Moving data acquisition to cloud-native AWS cut runtime costs and pipeline outages.
• Reliability Under Pressure. Automated a patch and traced memory and thread leaks that threatened a high-visibility launch. The work helped prevent an outage and received the organization's inaugural award.

• Life-Safety Messaging at Scale. Built USAA's first reactive, event-driven communications platform. It processed 1M SMS messages per hour for urgent customer notifications during severe weather and life-threatening events.
• Greenfield Modernization. Maintained a critical 35-year-old on-premises platform while helping build its distributed replacement with OpenShift and GitLab CI. Also worked on proofs of concept, shared libraries, and security patches.

• Recommendation Concept. Built a Spring MVC and Apache Spark batch job using precomputed title behavior and traffic data to test a recommendation concept.

I want to keep working on enterprise AI, infrastructure, and backend systems, especially where better architecture can make a team faster and more reliable.

Formalized my applied ML foundation while expanding from large-scale backend engineering into model training and ML infrastructure.

Built the computer science foundation that continues to guide my work in distributed systems and software architecture.
